Victoria’s regional town of Colac is taking high-tech measures to generate new electricity.

The new Colac Renewable Organics Network (RON) is taking waste and turning it into something valuable.

Armies of bacteria will transform wastewater, chemicals and food waste solids into biogas, with a purpose-built grid allowing private companies and public corporations to offload their waste and enjoy the power and hot water it generates.
