The clean energy industry’s most notable figures and projects have been rewarded for their contribution to industry growth and success at the recent EcoGen 2011 Awards.

 

Among the recipients:

  • Monica Oliphant won the EcoGen 2011 Award for Most Outstanding Contribution to the Industry, for her long-term commitment to furthering the progress of clean energy as Immediate Past President of the International Solar Energy Society and as Adjunct Professor of Research at the Sustainable Energy Centre in the University of South Australia and Charles Darwin University.
  • Energy Efficiency Council Chief Executive Rob Murray-Leach took home the EcoGen 2011 Young Industry Leader Award.
  • The award for Most Outstanding Small-Scale Clean Energy Project was given to AquaGen for its 1.5 kW SurgeDrive Lorne Pier Demonstration Trial in Victoria.
  • Queensland’s Metricon Stadium solar ‘halo’ roof won the Most Outstanding Large-Scale Clean Energy Project category for the innovative design and construction of Australia’s largest generating building-integrated photovoltaics system.
  • The EcoGen 2011 Most Outstanding Clean Energy Technology Innovation, awarded to BuildingIQ for its adaptive supervisory control system.
