Sustainability Analyst

We are now seeking an experienced Sustainability Analyst to help us prepare for mandatory corporate reporting under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS), which will be a significant milestone for climate-related reporting. 

As the Sustainability Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping our sustainability strategy, helping us reduce our environmental footprint while driving long-term value for our company and the communities we serve.

About the Role

This role will be responsible for the delivery of regulated emissions reporting for Beach Energy in Australia and New Zealand and improving Beach’s governance of sustainability disclosures in anticipation of ASRS reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing and reporting on the company’s carbon and pollutant emissions and governance performance metrics.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of sustainability strategies.
  • Monitoring and tracking compliance with relevant sustainability regulations and standards.
  • Providing data-driven insights to help shape corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sustainability reports, including data collection and validation.
  • Identifying emerging sustainability trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

About You

You will need:

  • Proven experience reporting emissions under regulatory frameworks in Australia, or a jurisdiction with similar requirements.
  • An understanding of Australian or international Sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Experience developing, writing or interpreting Sustainability related, or adjacent, legislation or regulation.
  • Experience establishing or adapting governance processes and controls associated with Sustainability reporting requirements in Australia.
  • Tertiary qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • Current drivers license as occasional travel to site is required.
