Senior Planning Engineer
Joining our team means you’ll be part of something that really matters. As our Senior Planning Engineer you will be based in Bentley and responsible for undertaking the development of Future Energy System plans and strategies for Horizon Power's energy systems.

Your role will include:

• Lead the development of generation and network (transmission and distribution) long term plans, strategies and solutions for the Pilbara - North West Interconnected System (NWIS)
• Lead and undertake power system studies to understand network and generation constraints through steady state, dynamic and energy optimisation modelling.
• Identify, lead and support investment cases, submissions for centralised renewables, energy storage and land acquisition.
• Provide leadership in technical support and decision making for the team and wider business.

You will have:

• A relevant engineering qualification is essential.
• Sound knowledge of energy systems (generation, transmission and distribution).
• Sound knowledge of energy systems planning principles and financial analysis evaluation principles.
• Sound knowledge of generation, transmission and distribution assets.
• Energy systems (generation, transmission and distribution) planning, design, operation and maintenance.
• Renewable energy and energy storage technologies.
