The opportunity

ActewAGL’s Technology Division is seeking motivated, flexible and highly collaborative individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to take on a great opportunity as our Application Support Administrator.

In this role you will support a variety of applications in their life cycle management including working closely with a team of Application Support Analysts, project staff and end users in the Evoenergy business to enhance solutions.

About your new role

As part of the Evoenergy IT team, you will :

  • Provide second-level technical application support of Operational Technology systems. This includes a range of applications such as PowerPlan, Cityworks, Velocity, WORQ.
  • Develop system documentation and procedures
  • Provide assistance to end-users and project team using incident and problem management processes.
  • Provide underlying and root cause analysis and address issues with other IT teams as appropriate
  • Support the implementation of changes following the Change Management process.
  • Provide technical expertise in the development of new and existing applications.

About you

Essential:

  • You have proven skills and experience applying application support processes and procedures in business and process analysis in an enterprise/complex ICT environments.
  • You have tertiary (or equivalent) qualifications in IT.
  • You have demonstrated experience and technical knowledge in the release management process, such as packaging and/or deploying applications to Windows servers and cloud environments.
  • You have the ability to work independently and proactively develop options to solving problems.
  • You possess experience in proactively and reactively monitoring system performance, such as in a VMWare ESX environments.
  • You have demonstrated proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases.
  • You have demonstrated experience or a high degree of familiarity with integration technologies locate in Microsoft Azure and Dynamic 365 platform such as common data services, service bus and logic apps.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a utility environment along with an understanding of trends and changes impacting the utility industry would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of Knowledge Management as it applies to applications support.
  • Knowledge of ITIL V3.0 Certification
  • Experience in using ServiceNow, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Microsoft TFS and Powershell.
  • Demonstrated solid understanding in Object Oriented Principles and Design Pattern. Experience in coding languages and different platform (C# and or ASP.net) and have good command over various message formats such as XML, JSON, CSV etc.
